Jim Connor local sculptor and the Southern Indiana Veterans created the piece titled "Soaring." The Organization Elder Heart now operating under the name Mission 22 supports Veterans through creating community arts project to raise awareness for the 22 Veteran suicides that occur daily.

The inscription on the dedication plaque reads:

"As a rising tide lifts all boats, so a sudden wind fills the sails. These soaring fall leaves, driven skyward by a sudden wind, are not only an iconic symbol of Brown County but represent Arts Village Brown County and Elder Heart rising together, bonded by the community, to reach for their dreams."

James Connor who oversaw construction and design.
Larry Webb painted the sculptor.
Three Sixty Group in Indianapolis created the design concept.
The Nashville Arts and Entertainment Commission.
