The Bloomington Indiana City Hall hosts art exhibits throughout the year in the atrium of the building and on display usually for a month. The artist chosen to exhibit are evaluated by a set of criteria and goals stated in the City's Guidelines for Public Art. Completed in 1970 the steel sculpture would be famous sculpture Alexander Calder's final work created for a specific site. Artist:  Joe LaMantia and Jake Glaslow of Bruces Welding and Fabrication Titled:  Moving Parts(Roadie) Date:  2009 Medium:  Traffic Signage, Car and Bicycle Parts, License Plates Location:   7th & Walnut street parking garage, Bloomington Indiana, 47404 In collaboration with Jake Glaslow of Bruces Welding and Fabrication, artist Joe LaMantia created a replica of the "Flying V" guitar out of traffic signage, license plates, car and bicycle parts in 2009 as a dedication to the rich musical tradition in Bloomington Indiana. Old State Road 37, Lower Cascades Park, Bloomington Indiana, 47404 The mixed media sculpture is located in Lower Cascades park and was a collaborative effort between the artist Joe LaMantia and the Stone Belt Arc the local non-profit that provides education and support to persons with disabilities.
