Collector Showcase
The Spirit of Stonehead was used as the inspiration for the 2017 Brown County Art Gallery's collector showcase and to raise money for the marker destroyed by vandals on November 6, 2016. This year's show runs from September 15th through October 30th.

The focus of the show was on 7 publicly held Brown County Landmarks:

1. Brown County Art Gallery
2. Brown County State Park
3. Brown County Courthouse
4. Bean Blossom Covered Bridge
5. Old Log Jail
6. T. C. Steele State Historic Site
7. Stonehead

Utilizing past and present paintings, etchings, and photographs from Frank Hohenberger (1876 - 1973) and current Brown County Photographer Norberto Nunes, the gallery organized a spectacular show this year. With the additional gallery space, the organizers were able to tell the story and history of the landmarks through an outstanding selection of Indiana paintings, photographs, and etchings. If you have an interest in Indiana Art, then the exhibitions and shows organized by the Brown County Art Gallery are second to none. Other then a museum you will not see the quantity and quality of past Indiana Art in one place during the exhibition.

If you are in Nashville Indiana., I would recommend that everyone take the time to stop and enjoy this hidden gem. All Hoosiers should be thankful that after 91 years the Brown County Art Gallery is still thriving and promoting Indiana art and artist from the past and present.
