The Brown Art Guild was formed by notable artists, Claude Curry Bohm, Marie Goth, V. J. Cariani, Carl Graf, Genevieve Goth Graf, George LaChance and others in 1954. The group purchased the historic Minor House to serve as a gallery, and in 1975 the gallery was fully renovated with funds left by Marie Goth in her estate. Today the gallery exhibits works of over 50 contemporary artists along with the permanent memorial gallery space for Marie, V.J., Carl, and Genevieve.
