C. W. Mundy Wins First Prize at 33rd Indiana Heritage Arts
June 11-25, 2011 - The 33rd Indiana Heritage Arts juried fine arts exhibition and sale was hosted by the Brown County Art Gallery from June 11-25, 2011. On display and for sale were 135 paintings entered by Indiana Artist and selected by this years, Judge Kathryn Stats of Salt Lake City, Utah. The First Prize Gold Award of $5000 was awarded to C. W Mundy for his painting titled “Creek Near Story.“ The Second Prize Silver Award of $3000 went to Victoria Gilron for a painting titled “Freckles. Third Prize Bronze Award of $2000 was awarded to Ken Bucklew for his painting titled “Old Dam on the Wabash.” Fred Doloresco was selected for the director's purchase award for his painting titled “Painting the Cosmos.”Awards of Excellence (IHA Ribbon) $1,000

Katie Whipple for a painting titled “Afternoon Tea.”
Todd Reifers for a painting titled “T.C. Steele House”

John “Abe” Eyed Award of $250 went to Judith Lewis for a painting titled “Quiet Reflection.”
Margaret Colglazier Award of $250 went to Dan Woodson for a painting titled “Fall Trees.”
V.J Cariani Award of $250 went to Jerry Smith for a painting titled “Heartland Juncture.”
Indiana Plein Air Painters award for $250 went to Thom Robinson for a painting titled “Old Feeder” Taylor English Memorial Award of $250 went to David Dale for a painting titled “ Maple Sugaring, Medora.”
