The family moved to Richmond Indiana when George was a young boy
Work at Gaar-Scott company painting scenes on farm equipment
Studied under John Elwood Bundy in addition to the Boothbay Art School in Maine and the Cincinnati Art Academy
Considered at the time to be one of the best landscape painters in Indiana
Painted in and around the New England coast and in the mountains
Worked in Pastels later in his career
